SPECIAL THANKS BOWL HISTORY HONORS TCU GEORGIA 15th Annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl The 15th Annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl High School All-Star Game 36 | 58th AutoZone Liberty Bowl BOWL EVENTS WELCOME HIGH SCHOOL ALL-STAR GAME was played December 10 at Memphis University School. The game was televised by WLMT CW30 and was broadcast on radio by Sports 56 WHBQ at 2:30 p.m. The rosters featured the top high school seniors representing public and private schools in the Memphis area. Each player was selected on the basis of his character, his on- and offfield achievements and his classroom performance. This year, the game ended in a 10-3 victory for the blue team. The game featured Aubrey Miller of Whitehaven, the 2016 Mr. Football Lineman of the Year in Tennessee, and Griffin Hawkins of Briarcrest, a finalist for Mr. Football Lineman of the Year. Two up-and-coming Memphis-area high school head coaches led the teams this year. Anthony Jones of Cordova coached the Blue team and Joe Rocconi of White Station coached the Red team. “With these outstanding head coaches leading the teams, we continued the tradition of excellence the All-Star Game has established over the past 14 years,” said AutoZone Liberty Bowl executive director Steve Ehrhart. JIM McMAHON PRESENTED TYLER GARVEY (COLLIERVILLE) WITH THE ARS/ CONWAY SERVICES MVP AWARD.
