In 2014-15, the college banner program awarded over 525 schools (87% low income) with inspirational collegiate banners. Over 22,000 banners were distributed, impacting 327,000 students across 20,700 classrooms. In 2015, Florida Citrus Sports announced a partnership with the College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation that will result in the funding of classroom project requests for public schools in the neighborhoods surrounding Camping World Stadium. Orlando is the sixth city to partner with the CFP Foundation and the first outside of the “New Year’s Six” bowl host cities. The classroom effort provides new support for FCSports’ commitment to Orlando residents in the immediate vicinity of the stadium. In 2013, FCSports partnered with residents and business leaders to found LIFT Orlando, a collaborative effort to break the cycle of poverty in one of Orlando’s most at-risk communities. GET INVOLVED You can join Florida Citrus Sports and the CFP Foundation in contributing toward classroom projects through the special DonorsChoose.org site for Orlando.
