Opened in 1971, Pocono held its first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race in 1974. A second Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race was added to Pocono’s schedule in 1982. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series made its Pocono debut in 2010. Pocono Raceway recently completed a track repaving project that produced great competition and record-breaking speeds. Numerous projects to increase fan amenities and enjoyment have also been completed. Pocono Raceway constructed a three-megawatt, 25-acre solar farm that went online in 2010, making the track the largest solar-powered sports facility in the world. 108 ANTHEM MOTORSPORTS ANNUAL
