“I love a challenge, and the biggest challenge of my life was when I had the opportunity to move to the U.S. to drive NASCAR,” Suarez said after the Homestead-Miami victory, his third of 2016. “This is the most difficult racing in the world because the competition is super, super tight. I’ve raced karts in Europe and in other parts of the world, and NASCAR is unbelievable.  “It’s something you don’t see in other series. I wasn’t sure in the beginning, but after my first race in the U. S. in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, I said, ‘Man, this is the real deal.  This is tough.’ NASCAR is difficult, and I like that. And the Chase is very difficult, so I really like that, too.” XFINITY Series Director Wayne Auton said last season’s competition was the most intense he’d ever seen. “Teams set high standards for their drivers to step up and try to get in the Chase,” Auton said. “The Chase heightened the competition level in the garage and on the track because there’s a lot of pride in making the first-ever XFINITY Chase. The 12 drivers who made it were really hyped up. Everybody was pretty excited to be part of our series’ first Chase. “But there were plenty of nervous people around the garage as we got closer to Homestead. Everybody was doing everything they could to get that little extra edge that might get them in the championship race. It brought more excitement to this series than anything in a long, long time. I don’t see any negatives at all.
