2017 Anthem Annual February

As race fans from around the world continue to descend on Kansas City, Kansas, twice a year, Midwestern hospitality is on full display at Kansas Speedway as the speedway staff strives to provide the best guest experience in motorsports. That hospitality may not extend to the actual racing on the track, however. Kansas Speedway’s place on the schedule in both the spring and fall makes it one of the tracks where drivers and teams really need to be successful. That’s especially true this year as Kansas Speedway will play host to a playoff elimination race for the first time, instead of hosting the middle race in the Round of 12. Can you say pressure? As the action on the track seemingly grows more intense each race at Kansas Speedway, tempers have a tendency to flare. Just look back at the past few October races at the facility, most notably the last two. But before the pressure ratchets up on the track, you can be sure that the tailgating in both the campgrounds and the parking lots is at KANSAS Speedway full tilt. In fact, many consider Kansas City the tailgating capital. If tailgating isn’t for you, the area around Kansas Speedway has so much to offer — from the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway (which includes table games, slot machines and great dining options) to the many shopping, dining and other entertainment choices around the track. Not to mention there’s a MLS soccer facility and minor league baseball stadium right across the street. Between the wild on-track action and the many amenities that Kansas Speedway and the surrounding area offer, race weekends at the 1.5-mile track should be a must-attend for NASCAR fans.
