OUR TEAM. OUR COMMUNITY. THE RAVENS FOUNDATION, INC. is committed to improving, encouraging and enabling the healthy development of youth in Maryland. The foundation focuses on programs that help youth and their families with various needs, including housing, hunger, education, athletics and mentoring. RAVENS TRANSFORM BALTIMORE CITY SCHOOL On May 19, 2017, the Ravens hosted an organization-wide volunteer day to renew and transform Mary Ann Winterling Elementary School, a $175,000 project fully funded by the Ravens Foundation. Both current and former Ravens players and staff joined representatives from the Heart of America Foundation to comprise the 100-plus volunteers who ocked together to refurbish the school’s cafeteria and gymnasium, paint and refresh hallways and enhance outdoor landscaping. Volunteers also assisted with eld day activities and distributed backpacks lled with books to students. Additionally, the Ravens Bookmobile was on site and distributed books to the community throughout the day. The afternoon concluded with a special ribbon cutting ceremony and project reveal, highlighting the Ravens’ long-standing commitment to making a difference in the Baltimore community. 2017 BALTIMORE RAVENS YEARBOOK 141
