CHICK-FIL-A PEACH BOWL CHALLENGE
The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl’s spirit of charitable giving
extends from the gridiron to the green with the
Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament.
Each spring, along the shores of beautiful Lake Oconee,
hundreds gather for an unmatched golf and resort
experience, all in the name of scholarship and charity.
The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge brings together
Chick-fil-A vendors, professional golfers, NCAA head
coaches and celebrity alumni to the five-star Ritz-Carlton
Resort at Reynolds Plantation.
Over the course of four days, teams competing in the
Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge vie for a $110,000 firstplace
scholarship prize, with all teams receiving a portion
of a $800,000 scholarship purse.
“What the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge does for
charities, for college football, and for us as coaches is
something I look forward to each and every year,” said
Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney. “Nobody does it
better than the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, that’s for sure.”
Not only does the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge charity
golf tournament provide funds for academic scholarships at
the participating coaches’ schools, but the tournament also
distributes money to various foundations and charitable
organizations of the coaches’ choice. In 2018, these
donations, along with the scholarships, totaled $812,500.
The 2018 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge field included 22 of the nation’s top head football coaches and celebrity alumni competing for a share of the
$800,000 purse to be donated to the charity of their choice, as well as endowed scholarships at their respective universities.
