VOLUNTEER HALL OF FAME
Peach Bowl, Inc. is proud to honor Bob Schuler and Bill Flynn as this year’s Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Volunteer Hall of Fame
The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Hall of Fame was created to honor significant and meaningful contributions to the Bowl’s success
by a number of dedicated, long-standing volunteers.
Volunteering for the Chick-fil-A
Peach Bowl started for Bob
Schuler in 1989 as part of his
full-time job when he was asked
by Albert “Smitty” Smith to
assist with the Marriott Marquis
hospitality during Bowl Week.
This quickly turned into much
more, from assisting with team
arrivals to working the parade.
In 1992, Bob found himself at the
JW Marriott in Buckhead with the opportunity to host one of the
teams. From that point he was “all-in,” upgrading the assistant
coaches dinners to first class Buckhead Life restaurants and fully
engaging the Buckhead community in support of Bowl Week and
the thousands of fans that came to support their teams each year.
Bob has served many leadership roles as well, including working
on the Team Marketing and Selection committee and as Bowl
Week vice-chair. He currently serves as the Festival Division chair
and is a member of the Executive Board.
Beyond the Bowl, Schuler spent 15 years with Marriott Hotels
and Resorts, followed by 10 years with the Atlanta Convention &
Visitors Bureau. He currently sits as vice president of the Atlanta
Convention Center at AmericasMart.
Bob and his wife Beth live in Roswell, Georgia and have two
children, Andrew and Katherine.
Bill Flynn has served at various
roles for the Chick-fil-A Peach
Bowl for almost 30 years. From
being a sponsor of the Bowl to
helping with hospitality, Bill
has been through it all. Bill has
also been a leader within Peach
Bowl, Inc. serving as a long-time
member and former vice chair of
our Team Selection Committee.
Bill also acts as a member of
the board of Advisors by selling
tickets each year.
Bill continues to build on an already distinguished career. He has
been the president & CEO of both Marbil Properties and Dollar
Rent-A-Car Experience. Before Dollar, he worked with Xerox for
14 years. Most recently, Bill was the executive in residence and
chairman of the Clayton State University College of Business
Advisory Board. Bill has his MBA from the University of Miami
and served eight years in the US Marine Corps (SGT). Bill and his
wife Carol have four children and nine grandchildren.
