WELCOME FROM THE GOVERNOR OF GEORGIA
Please accept my warmest regards to the attendees of the 51st annual Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. Sandra and I welcome all of
you who are visiting our state, including players, families and fans of the teams. Georgians and college football fans around
the nation look forward to this celebrated bowl game each year as a competitive and entertaining matchup. This game has
extended its reach beyond the field with Peach Bowl, Inc. having contributed over $31.8 million for educational programs and
other charitable outreach since 2002.
We hope you enjoy your time in our state’s capital and have a chance to explore some of its many other attractions, including
the World of Coca-Cola, the Georgia Aquarium and the College Football Hall of Fame. The state of Georgia certainly has much
to offer from our beautiful coastline to our North Georgia Mountains. Whether you have time during this trip or come back on a
later date, we encourage you to spend some time seeing Georgia’s sights in and outside of Atlanta.
I commend the organizers and sponsors of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl for contributing to Georgia’s communities and attractiveness
as a place to visit. Since its creation in 1968 by the Lions Club of Atlanta, this Bowl has gained a reputation as one of the most
competitive and exciting games in the nation.
As Governor of Georgia, I hope you enjoy the game, southern hospitality and all our state has to offer. Happy New Year and may
the best team win!
Governor, State of Georgia
