18, 1933. Only 1,750 people attended that contest. Today, nearly 70,000 fans pack Lincoln Financial Field for each and every home game.
Each site has played host to memorable and historic moments in franchise history. The 1960 NFL Championship victory over the Green Bay
Packers took place at Franklin Field. Wilbert Montgomery’s 42-yard touchdown run set the tone for the 1980 NFC Championship Game
win over Dallas at Veterans Stadium. Twenty-four years later, Lincoln Financial Field was the site for the franchise’s second NFC crown as
tight end Chad Lewis hauled in a pair of touchdown receptions to send the Eagles back to the Super Bowl with a thrilling defeat of the
Atlanta Falcons. This past season, the Eagles routed the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game at Lincoln Financial Field before
winning Super Bowl LII.
