Mark Fitzgerald is in the midst of his fourth
season with the Ducks as the team’s
Strength and Conditioning Coach. Fitzgerald
previously worked with the Canadian Hockey
League as the Head of Performance and Nutrition, where he oversaw the
combine development program and implemented many unique nutritional
Joe Huff is in his fifth season as Head Athletic
Trainer with the Anaheim Ducks, having been
a member of the organization since 2008. He
served as Head Athletic Trainer for the club’s
American Hockey League affiliates in his previous role.
A graduate of Iowa State University (1998) with an Exercise & Sports
Science degree, Huff is a Certified Athletic Trainer through the NATA’s Board
of Certification. He began his career with the Central Hockey League’s
Macon Whoopee (1998-99). Following a season with Macon, Huff became
the Head Athletic Trainer for the Des Moines Buccaneers (USHL), where he

and educational programs. Fitzgerald also served as the Strength Coach for
the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies from 2009-14. In addition, he
owns Elite Training Systems, a high-performance training center that caters
to athletes from all sports.
Fitzgerald resides in Anaheim Hills with his wife, Danielle, son, Kane (6),
and twins Molly (4) and Cal (4).
Strength and Conditioning Coach
Chris Martin is in his second season as
Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach of
the Anaheim Ducks. Previously, Martin served
as the Strength and Conditioning Coach with
Anaheim’s American Hockey League affiliate in San Diego.
Martin has worked in hockey for over 20 years and is active in the strength
and conditioning community, regularly working with local youth athletic and
developmental programs. He also runs his own Strength and Conditioning
facility, Mettle Strength and Conditioning in Yorba Linda, CA at THE RINKS -
Yorba Linda ICE and regularly trains local professional hockey players. Martin
received a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Arizona State University
and is a Conditioning and Strength Coaching Specialist (CSCS).
Ass istant Strength and Conditioning Coach
Mike Hannegan is in his seventh season as the
Anaheim Ducks’ Assistant Athletic Trainer.
An Orange County native, Hannegan joined
the organization in 2012 after a three-year stint
in St. Louis as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Blues (2009-12). His
resume includes over 17 years of experience in hockey athletic training.
Hannegan previously served as Head Athletic Trainer for the Peoria
Rivermen in the American Hockey League from 2007-09. He has also been
head athletic trainer for clubs in both the ECHL and Central Hockey Leagues
(Richmond, Las Vegas, Macon). In 2006, he was selected to represent the
National Conference at the ECHL All-Star Game. Hannegan’s international
experience includes serving as the athletic trainer for Team USA at the 2000
IIHF World Inline Hockey Championships in the Czech Republic.
Hannegan received his B.S. in Athletic Training/Exercise Physiology from
Chapman University and went on to complete his Master’s of Science
degree in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania. He is a
Certified Athletic Trainer with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and
a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength
Mike resides in Tustin with his wife, Kelly, and their son, Aiden (12). He
is a graduate of Foothill High School in Santa Ana and worked at both THE
RINKS - Anaheim ICE and Honda Center as a Zamboni driver.

spent the next six seasons. He then moved on to the ECHL, taking on the
head trainer position with the Augusta Lynx in 2005. Huff joined the Ducks’
then-AHL affiliate in Iowa for the 2008-09 season and then moved on to
Syracuse with the club for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. During the
2012-13 season, Huff worked with the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s first year
of affiliation with the AHL squad.
Joe and his wife, Lisa, along with their two daughters, Macy (15) and
Marin (12), reside in Anaheim Hills. When away from the rink, Huff enjoys
spending as much time outdoors as possible.
