Player Development Coach
Mark Bell enters his second season with the Coyotes as Player Development Coach. He
oversees all prospect development at the American Hockey League (AHL), junior and collegiate
Bell joined the organization following one season as an assistant coach for the St. Mary’s
Lincolns of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.
The 38-year-old Bell registered 87-95-182 in 450 career NHL games over eight seasons with
the Chicago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks, Toronto Maple Leafs and Anaheim Ducks. In addition,
Bell spent seven years playing in Europe and finished his career playing his final three seasons
in Berlin, Germany.
Goaltending Development Coach
Zac Bierk begins his first season with the Coyotes as Goaltending Development Coach. He
oversees all goaltender prospect development at the American Hockey League (AHL), junior and
Bierk joined the organization following five seasons as goaltending coach for the Oshawa
Generals of the Ontario Hockey League. He also previously served as a coach at the goaltending
school Team Shutout.
The 41-year-old Bierk posted a 3.18 goals against average (GAA) and a .901 save percentage
(SV%) in 47 career NHL games with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Minnesota Wild and Coyotes. He
registered a 2.46 GAA with a .924 SV% in 20 games with the Coyotes from 2002-04.
