Pacers Gaming became the fourth member of the Pacers Sports &
Entertainment family joining the Pacers, the Fever and the Mad Ants in May
of 2017 when the NBA announced the formation of the NBA 2K League.
Pacers Gaming was one of 17 teams that participated in the inaugural
season which debuted in May, 2018 in the professional esports league,
which is a joint venture of the NBA and Take-Two Interactive and features the
best 2K players in the world. The league will add four additional teams for
the ’19 campaign.

and Chief Executive Officer Rick Fuson. “We’re excited that once again the
NBA has stepped forward and taken the lead as it relates to the world of
esports and its relationship with established professional sports teams in
Kelly Krauskopf, the architect of the long-term successful Indiana Fever
WNBA franchise and a PS&E Senior Vice President, serves as President of
the Fever and gave up her General Manager duties with the Fever to lead
the direction of Pacers Gaming. Krauskopf hired Evansville, Ind. native Cody
Parrent to be the Director of Esports Operations and Head Coach for Pacers
Gaming. Parrent earned both a B.S. and MBA from the University of Southern
All of the NBA 2K League games in 2018 were played at the NBA 2K League
Studios in New York. All games were seen around the globe via Twitch.com.
The NBA 2K League is the first official esports league operated by a U.S.
professional sports league.
