AJ D I L LON, BOSTON COL L EGE
We’re not going to see a guy’s stat line nearing
250 rushing yards and not give him proper
credit (“props” as the youngsters used to say).
Boston College’s AJ Dillon rushed for 242
yards and three touchdowns in an ACC tilt
in the dome at Syracuse. One of his scoring
runs was a 51-yarder in a first half that saw BC
amass 484 yards of offense. Dillon’s numbers
are beguiling, but the remarkable additional
context is that his teammate David Bailey
approached 200 yards of rushing on his own.
So, it was a choice of “big poison” or “slightly
less big poison” for the Orange as Boston
College ran the ball as they pleased, with Dillon
leading the way and Bailey right behind him.
Dillon had 35 carries and Bailey 16 in the 58-27
