entered the NFL in 2012 as a video intern
with the Bills, moved into a full-time role
with the club as a video assistant in 2013,
and shifted into the personnel department
in 2015 when he was named the team’s
manager of football operations.

MATT HOLLAND SENIOR PRO SCOUT
Matt Holland was hired by the Eagles as
a pro scout in 2017 and was promoted to
senior pro scout during the 2019 offseason.
Prior to joining the Eagles’ scouting staff,
Holland held positions in the player personnel
departments of the Washington Redskins
(2012-13) and Cleveland Browns (2014-15).
Holland originally entered the NFL as a video
assistant with the Miami Dolphins in 2005
for Bob and Dave Hack. His first scouting
experience came the following year, when he
was promoted by head coach Nick Saban to
serve as a scouting assistant for the Dolphins.
From 2007-08, Holland worked as a
linebackers coach at Wagner College and
served as the team’s director of football
operations under Walt Hameline.
He worked for the United Football
League’s Florida Tuskers from 2009-
10 as a quality control coach and video
director for Jim Haslett and Jay Gruden.
Most recently, Holland served as the
linebackers and offensive line coach at
Charlotte Latin High School on Larry
McNulty’s staff. Holland earned his
bachelor’s degree from Elon University in
2005 and went on to receive a master’s in
business administration from Wagner.
A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Holland
has a daughter named Jacy Betsy Holland.
CASEY WEIDL DIRECTOR OF SCOUTING OPERATIONS
Casey Weidl was promoted to the director
of scouting operations during the 2019
offseason after working as the team’s pro
personnel coordinator in 2018. Weidl originally
joined the Eagles’ front office in 2016 as a
college scouting coordinator and served
in that role for two seasons (2016-17).
Prior to joining the Eagles, Weidl worked

Phil Bhaya serves as an NFS scout for the
Eagles and enters his sixth season in the Eagles’
personnel department after originally joining
the team as a scouting assistant in 2014.
Bhaya was a team captain and four-year
letterwinner at defensive back at Princeton
from 2010-13. He helped Princeton to an
8-2 record and an Ivy League Championship
in 2013, earning All-Ivy League honors for
a second consecutive season. That season,
Bhaya also garnered CoSIDA Academic All-
District and Academic All-Ivy League accolades
and was the recipient of the 2013 Richard
Coleman Award for excellence in scholarship,
athletics, and team contribution. In 2010, he
was recognized as the Harland “Pink” Baker ‘22
Award as the Tigers’ top defensive freshman.
A native of Haddonfield, NJ, Bhaya earned
All-South Jersey honors at defensive
back and was named to the New Jersey
Super 100 Team at Haddonfield Memorial
High School. He was also named an All-
American in lacrosse as a senior.
