“Getting up for 6am practices to battle
the current of the Charles has instilled in
me grit, commitment and discipline like
nothing else. Being a captain holds the
gratification of working to help each and
every team member achieve their goals
and make the most out of their experience
as a collegiate athlete. There’s simply no
feeling like being out on the water, the sun
just above the horizon, pulling your absolute
hardest in perfect harmony with the seven
other girls in your boat, the coxswain
guiding you to overtake the competitors
and into the sweet embrace of victory.”
