“I chose to attend MIT because I have lofty
goals athletically, academically, personally,
and professionally. I figured if there was
going to be anywhere that I’d be surrounded
by people who can help me achieve
these goals, it would be at MIT. Looking
back after 3.5 years I can say, without
a doubt, that I’ve grown more in these
areas than I ever thought was possible.”
- Ian Hinkley ‘21

“I have had so many great experiences being
a student-athlete at MIT that range from
winning big games with my teammates, to
joking around in the locker room, to getting
life advice from upperclassmen, to spending
late nights studying together. Being a studentathlete
has been an amazing opportunity to
enjoy playing the sport I love, as well as grow
as a person because playing basketball at MIT
has taught me many lessons that go far beyond
the court.” - Dan Pilsbury 22
Larry Anderson enters his 26th season as the MIT men’s basketball head coach in the 2020-21
